TV stand to match coffee table

Avid readers, Welcome to another installment of mind bending analysis of simple woodworking. To match the pallet coffee I made a TV stand out of similar materials and keeping with the same style I made a piece of furniture I was happy to have in my home. Once again I used the stain/ varnish colour Wenge. This piece of furniture has a shelf which is used to house our game console/ movie player. This addition to our house looks impressive and people pay me compliments about its sturdiness and finish. Now our house is developing some continuity throughout with matching furniture and colours continuing and flowing from one room to another.

Pallet Clock

Hello avid followers, This year i made a clock out of an old pallet and I often receive complements about it. I used four pieces of wood glued together and then drew the largest circle possible. I cut this out with a jigsaw. For the clock mechanism I purchased a cheap clock from a local store and ripped out the components. I sunk the battery pack into the back using a router and drilled a hole for the hands. The numbers that I have used are just letterbox numbers . I was and still am impressed with how this project turned out. The stain i have used once again is called Wenge.
